Human/Nature Surrealist Portrait

Image
This assignment was really cool because it creatively combined nature and humanity. I loved making this and had fun combining these photos. I first cut out the light grey trees from the tree photo and moved it onto the stock photo of the woman I found. I blended the edges and adjusted some of the colors for it to match. I think the final product is really cool because it looks like the forest is a crown. For more cool examples of these surrealist portraits, you can check out Antonia Mora

Hockney-esque "Joiner"

Image
I think this looks totally rad! I took a photo of the art room walls and selected parts of the photo and dragged it onto a new file. Then, I matched up the pieces and outlined them to add a puzzle effect.

Macro Setting Photo Shoot

Image
I couldn't think of things to take pictures of until I realized..jewelry! I hope you like these cool closeups

Cartoon Character

Image
I made this character and I really enjoyed it! Classy cat will judge you...so be careful how you act around him.

Light Painting

Image
To accomplish this, I set the camera to a really low shutter speed and had a friend "write" in the air with a phone flashlight.

Puzzle Face

Image
This is the stuff of nightmares....Haha my skin is two different colors but we don't talk about that. I took two pictures of myself and edited my eyes from one onto a picture of me in the green room at school and its now very creepy. Enjoy this

Color Focus

Image
Dis is me vaulting! I chose this because of the bright blue color in my leotard and its my awesome sport! I used two of these photos and put one in grayscale over the other colored photo. i then erased around the parts I wanted to still be colored. I love how this turned out!

Self With Former Self

Image
I loved this assignment! I chose a picture of me when I was little, then found a picture of me now in relatively the same position. I cut out the present picture of me and edited it into the old photo. I also added some shadows and adjusted the lighting to look like its in the same place. Hope you like it! Might do another one :)

Repetition Portrait

Image
If this doesn't creep you out, I don't know what will. I copied and pasted my eyes over my normal eyes a bunch of times, then copied my head and put it on either side of my shoulders, enjoy this scaryness

Zombify Yourself

Image
This was super cool! I chose a photo of cracked, dry ground, then placed it over my face and lowered the opacity and colors to mostly match my skin tone. I burned some of the areas behind the cracks to  make them stand out more and look a bit more realistic. Lastly, I found photos of peeling paint and rust. I put them over my face and again lowered the opacity and matched the colors to look like a gross wound. Tee hee enjoy!

Celebrity Photobomb

Image
This assignment was awesome! I chose a picture of me and my friends, then chose a photo of Millie Bobby Brown standing and cute her out into my photo. I erased parts of Millie to make it look like she was behind Ava, and adjusted the lighting and perspective to match the two and make it look realistic.

Contour Portrait

Image
This was really cool and I loved it! It was fun to find things that were shaped perfectly to frame my face. I enjoyed choosing things I love to represent me.

Photoshop Makeover

Image
This assignment was cool because It looks like an actual makeover! It was fun to experiment with and I really like the final result.

Create Your Own Font

Image
Tada! Here's my handwriting in a super cute font :)

Cartoon head with Regular Body

Image
This assignment was really cool! I drew a cartoon face on paper, then scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. I loved drawing this and it was fun to be able to try and mimic my expression in the original photo. I hope you like it, I put a lot of time into this.

Hybrid Cartoon Character

Image
I chose to combine Winnie-The-Pooh, Charlie Brown, and Patrick Star. Im not sure what inspired me, but I like my new hybrid character :)

Colorized Drawing

Image
I first drew a jar thing with my soul, then scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. I thought this was a really cool idea so I chose to use it for this assignment. I ended up drawing the wood in the background in Photoshop, but I like what it adds.

Panoramic Image

Image
I used a camera to take multiple photos of a scene. I pieced all the different photos together to make it look like a panorama. I moved the camera up and down a little so some of the lines aren't perfect. The lighting also adjusted while I moved, so the sky is lots of unique colors. tee hee

Animated GIF

Image
This project was incredibly time-consuming but it was really cool. I first made one plane, then made 35 copies of it and adjusted it to move across the screen. I then made about 70 copies of a cat with a red and white parachute. Finally, I arranged all of the pictures to make it appear to be moving. I had over 90 frames of cats and planes, but then I combined some of the frames and it ended up being 54 frames in total. I chose this because I thought it would be unique and I love cats. Enjoy! P.S. if you drag the gif into the search bar in a new tab, you can see it bigger

Retouching Assignment

Image
For this assignment, I blurred away some of the wrinkles in this photo of an elderly woman

Look Who's in Our School!

Image
For this I chose some superheroes and my favorite singer, Brendon Urie (hidden in the back) and edited them into a photo of our school.

Magazine Cover

Image
I thought this assignment was super fun. It was very difficult because the lighting for the magazine cover was very bright so the skin tone of the model was much lighter than mine. I did have to work hard to match skin tone. My cheeks are fairly red compared to the model so that was a struggle. I am very happy with the final product so I hope you like it! Shout out to my friend Sophia who used this same magazine last year
